A light-hearted Christmas tale full of mistaken identities and zany foul-ups, with a smattering of slapstick. David is moonlighting as a department-store Santa so that he can buy his wife, Sam, a fur for Christmas. He tells her he's working late at the office, but she finds out that not only is he not at the office, but he has never been working late at the office, so she naturally suspects that there is "another woman". Sam turns to her friend, Natalie, the nosy, well meaning and caring neighbor and her therapist husband, William - both of whom happen to be totally clueless themselves - as all three try to understand where David is. Enter the notorious Santa burglar, Kris Kreigle - who is lacking in the smarts department - and his gun toting, jealous fiancée, Sheila. Add a dollop of mis-directed hypnotism, mixing well with strong eggnog and a confused policeman and you have the recipe for a rollicking tale that is perfect for the holiday season, one which guarantees a couple of hours of uncomplicated laughter and fun for audiences of all ages.
