Crimes of the Heart
by Beth Henley
| Warm-hearted, zany, and imaginative, the play examines the lives of three Mississippi sisters trying to escape the past and face the future. Lenny Magrath, the oldest, is unmarried at 30. Meg is back after a failed singing career on the coast. Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after shooting her husband in the stomach. Their troubles are grave but somehow hilarious and the telling is so true and touching that it will linger in the mind long after the play is over. | ![]() |
